Lowest last minute deal:July from Florida

Hello...have never been on a cruise before. Will be spending the month of July in Florida with hubby and two children (3 and 8). To break up the month, we were thinking of going on a 3-4 night cruise, from any port in Florida, to pretty much anywhere: our expectations are low. We would be willing to leave within a couple of days notice. What is the lowest type of fare we could expect? Thanks so much, Sinead

You can probably find a $199 + taxes per person rate if you shop carefully. You won't find much with 2 days notice, though, as passenger logs have to be filed with the government a few days before sailing -- 7 days is more likely.

Summer is the time of year when most ships are at their capacity. I think you may be a little disappointed if you wait until the last minute. I would start checking right now.

Start really searchin about 30 days out. I am watching for that time are too.. Last year we sailed early July on Soverign of the seas. Picked up the cruise 25 days before at a rate of 216 dollars per person including taxes and port charges (Inside cabin).

 

This year i am not seeing nearly as much deals so i might shift my vacation to september.
