smyemar Posted April 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2011 If you get an inside stateroom to accomodate three people,DH,DD(10) and me can the two twins still be converted to a king size bed?:) TIA!
MamaParrotHead Posted April 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2011 I don't think so. It's pretty tight in there and I think that if they did that there would LITERALLY be no way to get around in the cabin.
cruisinthemed Posted April 27, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2011 Yes...That shouldn't be a problem at all:)
SteelCruisin Posted April 27, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2011 Yepper, chances are you will either have a bunk above that pulls down or a couch that converts being its an inside I think it will be a bunk.
tef43 Posted April 27, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2011 It should be noted on the deck plan. Which cabin? Which ship?
H82seaUgo Posted April 27, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 27, 2011 absolutely, as long as it's a standard inside cabin. all you're missing is a window, and they are usually on the wall.
caljencruisers Posted April 27, 2011 #7 Share Posted April 27, 2011 Of course!! Great sailing!

Rizzorp Posted April 27, 2011 #9 Share Posted April 27, 2011 Yep it sure can. I had an inside cabin on my last cruise with Me, DW, and DD (8) and although it was a little tight with her bed in there it was still fine.
Rizzorp Posted April 27, 2011 #10 Share Posted April 27, 2011 BTW do you like how the inside Inspiration has the cool fake window frame and curtain!!! LOL
firefly333 Posted April 27, 2011 #11 Share Posted April 27, 2011 Note that when you push the twins together, the upper bunk, now that person either comes down in the middle of the twin or has to enter from the end. Affects the upper bunk person, not you on the twins.

Yes you can- there are some ships that have roll aways though- What ship are you sailing. Keeping the beds apart will give you extra floor space. the one upper bed will be over the one bed which will make that person getting out of bed is a bent over position. smyemar Posted April 27, 2011 Author #13 Share Posted April 27, 2011 Thanks for all the replies! We are looking at the Carnival Glory or Valor!:)
SadieN Posted April 27, 2011 #14 Share Posted April 27, 2011 If they cannot it SHOULD be noted on the deck plan. Only a few cabins cannot be converted. I will say that if the lowers are kept apart there is usually more walking around room.

It's pretty tight in there and I think that if they did that there would LITERALLY be no way to get around in the cabin. pretty tight? 185 sq ft? We get insides a lot and have no problem with beds pushed together when my son used to bunk with us. Bill

Bill Yes. See post #8. When you have to just about literally step on someone to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night, that, to me, defines "pretty tight". Yes. The third bed is a bunk or a sofa and has no effect on putting the other two together.

We did it when we had 2 twins, 1 upper, and 1 couch bed (4 of us in one cabin). It wasn't bad at all!
