Skype app on iPhone

I am aware that HAL blocks Skype from their network because of bandwidth issues but was wondering if anyone has tried the iPhone app with any success?

If you are going to use your Iphone on board, it will still be going thru the HAL network. So you won't be able to use it.

I've used the app, but not on board. Works pretty well, but if your phone is jailbroken, it'll give you a warning but it'll still work. If you don't know what jailbroken means, yours isn't ;) I've only done Skype to Skype though, not Skype to a phone number.

Bruce is absolutely correct. I have tried several times to use my iPhone for Skype and HAL is very effective at blocking it. Get an internet connection in port and no problem.

Windy, about 70. Played golf today. Very cold early on, but got nicer as the day went on, and the wind eased a little.

Seems calmer today.

Much less wind this morning. Will be getting nicer and warmer over the next few days, both there and back in Sacramento.

Thanks everyone. My phone is Jailbroken and have been told the call quality via Skype was better than AT&T network :). I'll have something to play with on my cruise Monday.
