Can you bring a heating pad?

My sister needs a heating pad for her knee. There are no microwaves available as far as I remember so - can she bring an electric heating pad?

Nope, anything with electric coils like heating pads or electric blankets are not allowed.

Nope you can now buy those patches that heat for 8 hrs at a time that she should be able to use instead..

We've brought a heating pad...and an extension cord. Neither were confiscated. If you don't want to risk it, bring a hot water bottle...the water gets REALLY hot!

Just returned from Freedom and we had a heating pad and an extension cord. Really difficult to use though because the plug is by the mirror/desk and the cord has to run across the room to get to the bed. We had 3 ppl in the room so it was a bit of a hazard.

 

We put the heating pad on top of the suitcase, but it made it through!

I've seen a traveling battery operated one in the Magellans catalog. Uses a drink bottle.

We brought one a few years ago , we had to have it, I dont remember if we had it in the carry on or checked luggage....

I took one on my last two cruises. It was so helpful on my back after a busy day in port.
