No ports worry me at all...went to Aden, Yemen, last year, fascinating city to look at, the way the homes cling onto sheer volcanic rock like limpets is amazing...nah...not bothered by going anywhere, you just have to be aware of your surroundings, be respectful of local customs/dresscode/people and you'll be fine.

 

Don't be an idiot and take your worldly goods like cameras, credit cards, cash with you as that usually invites trouble...you might as well have a neon sign over your head with 'I am a dumb tourist- easy prey'. I have encountered such fools in the past when cruising and they are usually the ones who become crybabies when they get mugged.

 

Be sensible, be respectful, be courteous & be aware.
