Nieuw Amsterdam May 22 Formal Nights

First time cruiser planning what to pack for the 12 Day Venice/Istanbul riound trip on the Nieuw Amsterdam. Does anybody have info on the number of formal nights and when?

 

Based on my previous research I'm guessing three nights. My educated guess based on evening schedules:

 

Venice, Italy (5/22/2011 ) - No

Venice, Italy (5/23/2011 12:01am - 5:00pm) - No

Split, Croatia (5/24/2011 9:00am - 5:00pm) - Unlikely

At Sea (5/24/2011)) - Yes

Athens, Greece (5/26/2011 8:00am - 5:00pm) - Unlikely

Istanbul, Turkey (5/27/2011 4:00pm - 11:59pm) - No

Istanbul, Turkey (5/28/2011 12:01am - 5:00pm) - Yes ????

Mykonos, Greece (5/29/2011 1:00pm - 11:00pm)- No

Kusadasi, Turkey (5/30/2011 7:00am - 7:00pm) - No

Santorini, Greece (5/31/2011 8:00am - 5:00pm) - Maybe

Olympia, Greece (6/1/2011 9:00am - 5:00pm) - Yes ????

At Sea (5/25/2011) - No

Venice, Italy - Disembark - No

I think your educated guess is correct. They might have one at Split, but the sea day seems more logical.

I just returned from a 12 day Barcelona-Venice cruise on the Nieuw Amsterdam and there were three Formal Nights so I assume yours would be the same. You will love the ship and the crew.

We did that itinerary on the N.A. and had three formal nights just as you have guessed them - at sea, Istanbul 2, Katakolon/Olympia. Hope your cruise is as great as our was! :)

On the Barcelona Venice cruise the formal nights were night 2 (leaving Barcelona-the ship stayed overnight) night 7 (at sea) and night 11 ( in Croatia)
