Wifi on Celebrity Summit

Recommended Posts

  • 1 month later...

I understand that wifi is available in most public places on the ship like at the buffet areas. I think my stateroom is directly below the buffet area. Also the penthouse is just below us on deck 6. I would assume that they would have a hotspot by the penthouse for the VIP's. Any feedback from past cruisers on the summit would be appeciated.

The On-Line is on the Promenade Deck 4 right near the Grand Foyer, so areas around it, such as seating between it and the Casino, and towards the Rendez-Vous Lounge have good connections. With it being open to the Grand Foyer, the common areas above it such as the Cova Cafe areas and things near that on Deck 5, and areas near the Guest Relations on Deck 3 just below the On Line have access. But any area that has a closed deck and walls (bulkheads) between it and the On Line area will not bet a signal or it will be very weak.

take a look at the Summit Deck Plan and you'll see areas around the On Line on Deck 4, and the common areas open onto the Grand Foyer and those will have a good signal. I usually sat at the Cova Cafe with my mini-computer, sipped a specialty coffee and snacked on goodies and checked emails and so on.

From last week on the Summit -- handout they provided on board

Wireless access is available in the following areas:

Deck 3 -- Conference rooms and Main Foyer

Deck 4 -- Rendez-vous Lounge and Celebrity ILounge

Deck 5 -- Cova Cafe and Martini Bar

Deck 6 -- Celebrity ILounge Classroom

Deck 10 -- Waterfall Cafe

I personally tested Michael's Club (no signal) and Aqua Spa/T-Pool are (no signal).

Some other areas received wi-fi signal but that was for crew use only, my password would not work.
