May Need to Cancel Cruise...Please Help

Hi all.

I booked a cruise about 6 months ago and may need to cancel the cruise. (Boyfriend and I). When we booked a cruise, we also bought $50 insurance, but I don't remember what it was for, just that it cost $50. If we have to cancel, will we get an almost full refund? Thank you in advance.

When is the cruise and what rate did you book (Early Saver, Past Guest etc)? Your best bet is to call CCL directly and find out, hope it works our for you!

Is the reason for cancellation a covered reason?

 

If you bought Carnivals insurance, no, you won't get a refund. You'll receive a credit for a future cruise,,minus, any penalties of course.

It was early saver rate

 

If you cancel for a covered reason, then you should be covered ..but if the reason is boyfriend and I broke up .. probably not covered. .. so if its cancel for any reason, then you may be covered but usually up to 75% for that type of coverage.

 

Did you get the insurance from carnival?? theirs covers a lot more things.

 

ES rate, there is a $50 penalty if you cancel before final payment and they hold the rest for a future cruise.. are you before final payment?

I am sorry you have or may have to cancel your plans.....I do not know your situation.....but IF this is with regards to you and your partner....I would still go especially if your cruise is already paid for......

 

I was stood up the day OF my cruise with my boyfriend a few years ago....I got so far as to calling the CCL agent and crying my eyes out telling them I couldnt go because of blah blah blah...........He convinced me to still get on the ship and not to worry......I did and it was THE BEST TIME of my life!!!!
