GSC all-inclusive rumor?

Recommended Posts

Around the middle of 2010, the was a "rumor" about some of the improvements being made to the island. One thought was passengers would be able to rent a cabana-type shelter and have private butler service including unlimited drinks and food.

Would anyone be able to confirm or deny this for their fellow cruisers? We asked our PCC and he said we could rent clamshells on the boat or at GSC. We know about the clamshells and rented 2 of them in December.

Any insider information out there? Seems like an excellent way for NCL to make extra bucks and cruisers to have an additional way to make a good cruise GREAT!

Haven't heard about NCL doing this but Carnival does it on their PI.

Carnival doesn't have a private island that is exclusively theirs. It was owned pre merger (takeover by Carnival Corporation) by Holland and is used primarily by HAL. I wish NCL would do this, but it would reduce the number of profit centers the island generates. NCL was the first line with a PL, maybe they need to look at leasing another place like RCCL did with Labadee and then the option would be more attractive to the bean counters..??
