sleeping out on deck

My favorite stories are from those that sleep out on their balcony at night and get caught in a passing rainstorm! It does happen. And as mentioned in the early morning when the deck staff are spraying off the exterior of the upper decks with water hoses. Don't blame them if you get soaked!

On the bright side, that should handle the drool problem nicely ;)

The question was spurred by some previous threads

Asking about 5 people in one room

Since there is a fair amount of people here who prepare for cruising akin to camping......

It's only a matter if time

Didn't think of the hammocks on serenity deck

Lol

I slept on our balcony twice on our cruise last week. But, we were in a VS. Those lounge chairs aren't that comfy on one's back. But, it was nice listening to the water swishing by.

if you are drunk and pass out on the deck, does ship security escort back to your cabin or they just leave you there until the morning?..lol

They escort you back to your cabin. Don't laugh. I've seen it more than once.

Sometime within the past week I read in John's blog that a couple on Magic had an argument. The husband ended up sleeping on Lido.

I figure if DH starts acting up I could just push him off the balcony. LOL:p

This must be the new LIDO DOG HOUSE, at least there is a place to go. :D

The balcony is too small but wouldn't it be nice if it could accomodate a hammock or a twin size bed, just dreaming, but woldn't that be great:p:p:p

For now we'll just have to settle for keeping the balcony door open during the night:)

In answer to your question, YES, I have slept on deck. It was on NCL, the Spirit if I recall correctly. On the way back to Miami, the ship lost all power for about 6 hours, then was able to recover only partial power, enough to limp into San Juan the next day, but not enough to run the air conditioning (or the dining rooms). So we, along with hundreds of others, spent the night sleeping on deck.

Really enjoyed the free cruise we got in compensation! Especially since the aborted cruise was already on its return leg.

Has anyone slept the night out on a deck? Perhaps in a lounge chair?

Do they allow that??

they pretty much tie all the chairs up to prevent people from doing this.

and the ship never sleeps, so you'd be on display.
