How long of a ride is it from Montego Bay to Dunn's River Falls?

Its pretty much the opposite ends of the island... pretty far.

 

Ocho Rios is closer, but a few ships like Conquest call on Montego Bay.

We are on the Elation and trying to figure out an excursion.

It has been a while since I have been to Dunn's Falls (before roads were redone) but I would have to say it would at least take about 2 hours.

We had planned an excursion to the falls when we were supposed to dock at Ocho Rios. So disappointed when we had to go to Montego Bay instead due to overcrowding of ships. (This was the first active cruise week after hurricane Ivan). We were strongly told to not attempt to make the falls. Not willing to take the chance of not making it back to the ship on time. We had a great time at a private beach nearby. We had been warned of street people and crime or nuisance, so decided to go that route. It ended up being a fun time, just missed the excitement of the falls. Maybe next time.

There is also a catamaran excursion that sails from MoBay right up to the beach of the falls and sails back. That is actually a faster way of getting there than the narrow roads
