Has anyone use this resort latly. Used them 3 years ago and planning to do so again. When we use them before they had a snorkel boat which took snorkelers out with the divers. How is the snorkeling in the resort area. last time did not snorkel in the Bay there spent the whole time out on the boat. Is the snorkeling still good along the rocks on both sides of the beach.

I've heard that the "nursery" side took a pretty good hit from the last hurricane and so did the new dock. The other side wasn't affected as much. This from folks that were there last year. We're planning on finding out for ourselves in January.

We were snorkeling in the bay (north side) this past March, and there were lots of fish.

The last time we ate at the resort was in March of 2010, and we had a good meal. It looked like they had built something new on the hill side....new dining room, perhaps???

When we charter our whale-watching boat, we used to dock at the resort's pier and have lunch there, but the dock became so bad, and the boat would get so bashed about if there was any kind of wave action at all. Now we lunch in Marigot Bay

We did a dive with the Island divers right there in the bay in 2007, and it was great. Since it's a sanctuary, lots of sea life, and since it's not deep, lots of bottom time!! We took a couple with us, who snorkeled all day and loved it. We are heading there again in on Sept. 28. No diving, this time, just snorkeling, and drinking those cold Pitons!!

Crez4jc - I see you were going to Ti Kaye on Sep 28th - did you book the Day Package through Island Divers? How was everything? Decent snorkeling from shore? Is the lunch that is included on the beach or do you have to go up the stairs to the resort? What time did they pick you up/return you to the cruise ship? We are in port from 8:00 - 5:00 and would like some before getting back on the ship to enjoy a couple of Pitons at the Piton Beer Garden in the port area.
