You have to try reallllly hard to fall off one of these ships....won't even guess what was going through this person's mind!!!!! It's a tribute to the Spirit crew and NCL training that the nut got plucked out of the water alive. We may complain about the food or such; when it comes to lives, it seems NCL does a pretty good job.

This person is very lucky that someone saw them go over and reported it and that they were in such an area as to be plucked out without much hassle. It doesn't say if alcohol was a factor in this incident. However, with the railings being so high... this person had to have been doing something they shouldn't have been. :( Hopefully it doesn't delay the fellow cruisers arrival time at the first port of call. As for the person rescued, if they did something stupid I wouldn't be surprised to see them debarked at that same first port. :)

Thanks for sharing the article OP, I know someone in NOLA visiting right now and they watched the ship sail yesterday. :D

yes what a wonderful job the crew did, we was on the spirit about 3 weeks ago and that was their practice drill, Man over board, seems like practice make perfect. Great Job to the CREW!!! what a wonderful ship to cruise on that is why we are going back next year because of the attention everyone gets from the needy to the little crazy. :)
