The last time I was on Princess was in 2002 when it was still Princess cruises. Have 25 days. I have been on RCCL and am Diamond with them. Thinking of going on the new Royal Princess in 2013. I know about the coke card and have heard of the Coffee Card. Are there other cards?? I know I can not book until spring of 2012. Add any other info that I may finding interesting. Do I need a pass for their adult only area? If so how much? Is it included if I have a Suite?

The adults only area is called the Sanctuary now and you will be charged to use it...not sure of the exact amount but arount $20 per half day. It's not included in the suite price. I hope you enjoy the new lady of the fleet and your cruise.

FYI, it's still Princess Cruise Lines but instead of being owned by P&O, it's owned by a holding company, Carnival Corporation & Plc, that also owns Cunard, Seabourne, HAL, etc. It's a misconception that Carnival Cruise Lines (the cruise line as opposed to the holding company) owns Princess and has been "Carnivalized."

There have been changes but that's due to Princess becoming more mainstream and mass market. It's still the same product and great cruise line.

In addition to the coke and coffee card, there is the Ultimate Kids Package which is also sold to adults. This includes pop, smoothies, mocktails and is $9.00/day. The adult only section is Sanctuary and the cost is $10.00/half day. If you book it for the entire cruise it is $15.00/day. Neither of these items are included in the suite perks.

Apparently, there will be two "adults only" sections on the new Royal Princess. One is the fee-based Sanctuary and the other is the free forward pool area (from what I understand, they may be asking for a fee to rent the cabanas in that area).

$10 per half day. $15 per full day of booked for the entire cruise.

Two pools are "adults only" without a charge. Lounge chairs around them are not "adults only".
