Tipping

I know that tipping is included in the price with Thomson but we would normally tip our cabin steward and waiter. My question is this - do you tip in Euros or Sterling? Sorry to be stupid but in hotels it would be the currency of the country we were in! :confused:

I normally get nice brand new crispy tenners from the bank and give them to the staff on the last night. Dont want to spoil them with twenties. :p

We always tip in Euros. They can easily spend them in the ports of call. Apart from on Red Sea magic in April I tipped in US$.

what is an acceptable ammount to tip we have two cabins this year with my daughters in a seperate cabin, dont want to seem mean but it will be double up i suppose

Well I normally give the staff a tenner a week. So as im there 2 Weeks they will get £20 or 20 Euro, depending on what I have.

The only ones I tip is

 

Room Service Person

Main Waiter

Wine Waiter

Bus Boy

They usually carry the heavy trays to/fom the kitchen but i admit

it is not obvious there is any difference.
