Is there a fee to switch name on a booking?

This would be a switch made before final payment ...

Fee? Amount?

There shouldn't be any fees, after final booking it is up to the cruise line. Sometimes if it is far enough out, before any docs are processed they still will not charge, but they have the option to add an additional fee.

We booked through a PCC. After final payment, one member of our party could no longer go due to health reasons and we found someone else to go in his place. There were no problems switching the names. Our PCC even said that we could change names up to 48 hours before sailing. There was no penalty or fee because we were just doing a name switch.

NCL might not, but my online TA charges for this.

some on line agents charge for a lot of things, reg agents and the cruise lines do not charge for: that is one example, they often charge a processing fee and a cancellation fee as well. but that is for another board.
