kevinyork Posted July 7, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 7, 2011 A CC grade cabin will get you a superior deluxe cabin on D deck or E deck. We were in a D deck superior deluxe on Ventura last christmas. They are lovely cabins, a great size with a bigger bathroom and a seating area. Also there are nice touches such as canapes and magazines, champagne and choclates in your fridge. D deck cabins are overlooked from decks above but it did not bother us. E deck cabins dont have that issue. There is a large selection of excursions. Many of them are quite similar in each port of call, e.g. Island tour, beach transfer, ziplining, jungle walk. We paid £34 for a 5 hour island tour in Antigua. However, there are tours available locally frm the dockside which look very well organised. Alternatively if you just need a beach then a taxi will undoubtedly work out cheaper. If you get a good book such as Foders guide to Caribbean cruising then you can plan what to do and how to get there and decide if you want to go with a ships excursion, a local excursion or on your own. bearded gent Posted July 7, 2011 #3 Share Posted July 7, 2011 Hi and welcome. You can also take a look at the "Ports of Call" forum, just below this one and select Carabbean and read what others have done.

I would however suggest you do not book before you get there and not with P&O. There are plenty of bus taxis waiting at the port where other passengers will get on. Once they are full the driver will take you to the main attractions and bring you back to the ship. It will cost you half the price. Hope this has been of some assistance to you. My cruise is on the Ventura 18 Nov, been on her before and had a brill time. Ca'nt wait. Kind Regards Mick
