Jewel meeting place?

Can anyone suggest a good place to meet for 10 people on the Jewel prior to a shore excursion? We need to meet a 7:15 for a days excursion in St Petersburg.

 

Not sure where we exit the ship. So advice on where to meet convenient to the exit would be very helpful.

They will announce which side and deck you'll exit on....just tell everyone to meet there, outside of the stair/elevator foyer.

I would suggest meeting at the Centrum on Deck 4 (It's where the band plays evenings before and after dinner). It is a fairly small area with places to sit and relax while you wait, and usually you will disembark on Deck 2-Centrum, so you can just go down the stairs from there.

Deck 4 Centrum is the best place to meet. The gangway is usually somewhere off the Centrum so you just have to walk down a few flights to exit (level depends on level of the tide). But on the rare occasion the gangway is forward, deck 4 goes all the way through so you can get forward easily.

We met on Deck 4 in the Centrum in 2007 - the gangway was forward, so after we were all together, we walked up there together. I think it would be a little crowded to meet right at the gangway

 

I don't know if they're still pulling this little trick, but they told us that the Russian authorities "sometimes" would not permit independent tours to leave the ship until all the ship's tours had left. This is a lie, as your tour operator has no doubt told you. They also did not make a general announcement that the gangway was open, so we just went and found that it was.
