Guarantee Cabin changes

We booked a guarantee C on the Marina. I checked today and we have a cabin assigned. Does Oceania ever change the cabin after its been assigned? I just want to know if I should keep checking my reservation. Cruise is not until May 2012 so there is a lot of time for things to change.

I have never had it happen

They may offer you an "upsell" in the future if they are looking for people to give up the C cabins to clear the waitlists

I would not worry

Although it is unusual for the cabin to be changed after it is assigned to your booking, the answer to your question is that it may still happen.

In other words, the option is still in Oceania's hands, but the assignment of a cabin does make another change less likely.

Thats funny on our first and only Oceania cruise they wanted us to 'downsell'. We were on the Insignia in a 3rd floor OV and they wanted to pay us to move to the smaller OVs. We did not move because a cabin 141? sq ft seemed really small for 10 days.

Yes they will do that also

I have had a down sell also from a B3 to C2 but did not want to be that far forward...a C1 I would have jumped on it

It can go either way ;)

The E Cat is small for 2 people I would think good for singles maybe

We had an E cabin for two out of our four cruises, and found it just fine for what we use a cabin for: sleeping, showering and changing clothes. When not on shore or stuffing our faces with excellent food, we hung out either on the pool deck or the beautiful library. :)
