karmavacations Posted July 16, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2011 I remember reading on these boards that if you sail on Oasis/Allure that there is some type of express shuttle to Columbus Cove...is this true? I am not referring to the tram, but some type of water transportation. Maybe, I'm mistaken...can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks in advance:confused:
ryansmom Posted August 15, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2011 After you get off your ship (whether Allure, Freedom, whatever is docked there), there is a boat that will cut across the water to Columbus Cove so you don't have to walk all the way to the island and around to the beach. We chose to walk... Wanted to see the island and didn't want to wait in the line.

ryansmom Posted August 27, 2011 #5 Share Posted August 27, 2011 Since it's RCI's island, I don't think there's a charge. I think it comes as often as it takes to cruise across and drop people off and come back. I'm not sure as we didn't wait in line to use it. You can SEE it leaving and coming back. We felt we could walk just as fast as the boat was coming/going. Sorry not more help.
sjcruiser Posted August 28, 2011 #6 Share Posted August 28, 2011 No charge for the shuttle boat, and it comes back and forth to the ship picking up and dropping off passengers.
allentownahoy Posted August 28, 2011 #7 Share Posted August 28, 2011 Wow, how did I miss that. I have difficulty walking long distances. I do not remember seeing it or seeing it described in the port info.
