Psychedout Posted July 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2011 We are sailing for the first time on the QM2 next July and I emailed Cunard several times with some questions, after several weeks I have yet to receive a reply. This does not happned with Princess as I have a direct contact with one of their TA. So what's up with Cunard's customer service? Thanks, Hugh
Underwatr Posted July 20, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2011 First off, did you book directly with Cunard or through a TA?
Classiccruiser777 Posted July 20, 2011 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2011 So what's up with Cunard's customer service? Ah, welcome to Cunard's shoreside service. I e-mailed "them" a year ago and never received a reply. When I have a question I call directly but typically find that Cruise Critic members are a better source of information. If you do call Cunard and speak with someone who knows what they are doing be sure to get their direct telephone number for future use. Don't be put off by the "interesting" shoreside service as the service aboard ship is, for the most part, first rate.

If your questions are of a personal nature, perhaps you might try contacting Cunard Cruise Specialists at 1(800) 7 CUNARD or 1 (800) 728-6273. If your questions are of a more general nature, see http://www.cunard.com/FAQs/General-Questions/ Of course you know you can post questions here if you care to do so. Regards, Salacia Edited to add: your cruise is almost a year from now: things change, so current responses obviously relate only to information known at this time. laktex Posted July 20, 2011 #5 Share Posted July 20, 2011 Yes, if you need anything from Cunard then best to pick up the phone. Always found them most helpful and usually quick to respond. I am inclined to believe that Customer Service on email can be a bit "cold" - thats probably why they dont actually promote contact by email. pepperrn Posted July 20, 2011 #7 Share Posted July 20, 2011 Hi In the spring of this year I e-mailed Cunard with a request... and got a reply within hours :) . They were most helpful, took note of my wishes (without promising anything). When I boarded QM2, I found they had kindly arranged everything I'd asked for :):) . I'm sorry to read that others have had a different experience.
southwestie Posted July 20, 2011 #8 Share Posted July 20, 2011 I have emailed a few times for little things, always had a reply, however phoning is often best and you do get to know the people your dealing with, they have always been very helpful
Psychedout Posted July 21, 2011 Author #9 Share Posted July 21, 2011 Thank you all! I will call the TA or Cunard directly:) Hugh
toddaa Posted August 1, 2011 #10 Share Posted August 1, 2011 I sen and e-mail and got a very good reply that basically ended with contact your travel agent (was askig about embarking) online site, not Cunard. When I responded wiht other questions, no response, and resent it later and no response. I found it rude and little like a second class citizen.. but I saved more than 400 per person booking elsewhere, so I was not too concerned. ombrelle Posted August 3, 2011 #11 Share Posted August 3, 2011 I booked through a TA,I sent Cunard an e-mail a few days ago for information if there was a shuttle bus from Queen Victoria from Piazza Roma in Venice to port Marittima for sailing Oct. 28. They promptly replied, thanking me and advising that it was receiving their attention. Next day I received another e-mail with positive answer to my question. If anyone is also interested in this information: yes, there is a shuttle bus from Cunard at Piazza Roma,in Venice, that will take you to the Marittima port.
