Isklaar Posted July 21, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2011 Is there any way to find out which direction the bed is facing in a specific midship veranda suite on Silver Spirit? On our first cruise, the bed was facing the bow of the ship, therefore facing forward in the direction the ship was travelling. I had sort of assumed that all the beds would face that direction. However, I have just seen a video of Silver Spirit and the bed in that suite was facing the stern of the ship. So lying in bed, you're travelling backwards. I'm just trying to choose a cabin for our next cruise, from a selection given to me by the TA and I'd really prefer to be sleeping in the direction I'm travelling. duct tape Posted July 21, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2011 That is not a dumb question. I usually book cabins with my head facing the bridge! You can figure it out by studying the floor plan.
Isklaar Posted July 21, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted July 21, 2011 I'm glad to hear that it's not just me! Following your advice I've just looked at the plan and the two suites I'm choosing between are both head facing the stern, so I'll have to ask my TA for alternates. Thank you very much. When we booked our second cruise while still at sea on our first, the cruise specialist asked us which way we wanted the head of the bed to face. Surprised me as it is something I never thought about, especially since we got the last available suite in our category when we booked our first cruise.
