croosieloosie Posted July 22, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2011 Having a problem deciding which itinerary to do. Radiance goes to Papeete, Morrea, BoraBora, Wellington, NZ, and Picton, NZ Rhapsody goes to Apia, PagoPago, Suva Fiji, Vila Vanauatu, Lifou Loyalty Island, Isle of Pines New Caledonia, and Noumea. Anyone cruised these islands? Please Help!!!
rugbypopsie Posted July 22, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2011 If you haven't been to Tahiti I would opt for that one, Bora Bora as compared to Noumea would be a 10 second or less decision for me. Suva, Noumea, Vila etc. are available on any Sth Pacific run all the time quite cheaply.
croosieloosie Posted July 22, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted July 22, 2011 Thank you, I know nothing about any of these places, except they're beautiful. Is Noumea not desirable?
Debsta Posted July 22, 2011 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2011 Definitely the Tahiti route! It's expensive to stay there on a land-based trip so cruising through makes it much more affordable! Noumea isn't the most 'beautiful' island by a long shot. They stop there to do immigration for Lifou, Isle of Pines.

The_Big_M Posted July 22, 2011 #7 Share Posted July 22, 2011 Wellington's their capital and a nice city to visit. Picton's smaller but all the NZ locations are nice places and offer interesting sightseeing and some activities.
croosieloosie Posted July 22, 2011 Author #8 Share Posted July 22, 2011 Hi Sue, Lucky Deb! I'm in the USA. Yes, I was wanting to know more about Wellington and Picton. Thanks Big M :) Will I see that great scenery by being on a ship and in port one day? I know Lord of the Rings was filmed in NZ, and it was sooo beautiful. Any recommendations for those cities? It's sounding more and more like The Radiance has the itinerary I'm becoming more interested in.
Sandielle Posted July 22, 2011 #9 Share Posted July 22, 2011 Hi Mitzi, you can do a 'Lord of the Rings' Tour in Wellington. Noticed it last time we were there. Bit of info here - google will find you more. Good luck! :) http://www.newzealandtourism.co.nz/region/wellington/tours/lord-of-the-rings-tours/
