At least 30 minutes. Could be 45 in heavier traffic.

 

IIRC, the fare should be in the $50-60 area, but others will have better info.

Super Shuttle is $17 per person from downtown hotels. You can also take BART right to the airport and there are a number of stations in the downtown area.

Thanks for the info. Shuttle would be good, but with 2 cases and 2 lots of hand luggage think it might not be do-able for us.

I would take the taxi. It is about a 45 minute ride.

 

The price of the taxi won't be a lot more in comparison to the super shuttle since there are two of you and will be easier.

Shuttle doesn't have a baggage limit, but if you are on a tight schedule, shuttle can be an issue because the shuttle will probably pick up people at several locations.

 

That is the underlying reason Keith said the taxi would be easier.
