Amalfi coast private tour

easy spirit

Recommended Posts

Agree with the above two posts that Ravello is better than Sorrento. Sorrento is larger and has a wider selection of shops, dining places, etc.. Many of the shops, especially for inlaid wood, are unique in Sorrento. BUT, for great view, charm, unique style, etc., Ravello is the clear winner!!!

Below are some of my pictures from Ravello and traveling along that super Amalfi coast towards Positano last month with Carmine from RomeInLimo. From my postings noted below, you can see more about this area, other parts of Italy, etc.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Love this pictures :)

We are in Naples in October. I was hoping to do Capri in the morning 7.25 or 8.10 hydrofoil. Spend a little time there. Boat ove rto Sorrento? Then a tour of Amalfi, Ravello, Poisitano, whatever time permits. Any ideas suggestions? I realise we will not get much time in all these places just looking for a taster as we plan to take a holiday in the area next year. Don't want to spend a whole day doing tour hence Capri. What sort of mileage would you be looking at?

thanks in advance

When we were in port in Naples we had some recommendations from CC members and we used him and the reviews I read were so true!

We had the most fantastic tour of the Amalfi Coast with Roberto Depalma of amalficoastdestination.com. We made a few stops along the coast, he took us to a friends restaurant in Amalfi (he is from Amalfi) and for 20 Euro pp we had an awesome lunch with wine, limoncello, pizza, pasta, salad, desert omg....was so full and had the most gorgeous scenery down below us to view!

He then arranged for us to have an escort at Pompeii and we spent about 2 hrs there. Check out his website or check him out on facebook and read the awesome reviews. HIGHLY recommend a tour with Roberto!

Hi Terry, I was just at all of these places! Your pictures are so AMAZING. I took many of the same pictures and mine pale in comparison to yours. You are quite the photographer! I noticed on another of your posts your pictures at Trattoria La Taggliata. We ate there, too. It was so good and the views were breathtaking. Thanks for sharing your OUTSTANDING pictures. The Amalfi Coast was a highlight for us. We had seen so many ruins at the other ports, and it was extremely hot in Ephesus and Athens, so touring Ravello, Positano, and Amalfi was a wonderful way to end our vacation. Your pictures help me relive those happy memories.

Just came back from the Equinox and used All Around Italy for not only our Rome tour, but for Amalfi Coast. I had been to Sorrento before so knew I was not interested in doing that again.

Our tour consisted (Port was Salerno) of Ravello, Amalfi Village (cute shops there), Positano - great shopping and then a wonderful lunch, place chosen by our guide with the absolutely most spectacular views - 3 course lunch, kids ate free. Food was fabulous. We then went on to Pompeii. We were so happy to have listened to our guide and went in this reverse order. We missed all the crazy traffic and had a wonderful day. All Around Italy (Fabrizio) really took care of us.
