video poker on Miracle

Recommended Posts

Do they have video poker on Miracle? What amount cent, 10 cent ect? Tournaments?

Yes, there are video poker machines. They mostly are the quarter and up 5-bet max machines. Some ships may have the nickle or dime 25-100-bet machines. Keep in mind the paytables for the video poker on the ships are horrible. We are talking 6/5 for Jacks or Better. Also, it takes double the coin in to earn a rewards point ($2.50 coin in per point for slots, $5.00 coin in per point for video poker). They do not offer video poker tournaments, just slot and blackjack tournaments.

Hubby and I love to play vp and yes the paytables are horrible but we still have to get our "fix" and play some. Got lucky last month on the Fascination. Within the 1st ten minutes of playing some ddb (think it was 6/5) hit 4 aces (no kicker) for $200, yea! Played with ships money the whole trip and came home with about $130 of theirs.

In 08 on the Fantasy I mainly played craps since bj tables have the CSM's and I never do well with those. Was down quite a bit by the last night so went back to vp and hit the 4 aces to get at least half my money back.

DH and I sailed on the Miracle in May 2011. Yes they do have video poker and yes the payout is lousy at 6/5 but if that is what you like to play you have no choice. We frequent the casinos in Atlantic City and the first thing we do before we play any video poker game is look at the payout. It's amazing how payouts vary for the same video poker game from machine to machine, even machines next to each other can have different payouts.

The minimum bet increment for Video Poker on the Miracle is a quarter. There are no nickel or dime video poker machines. You need to bet 10 quarters ($2.50) per hand for a chance to win the natural Royal Flush Progressive Jackpot. When we were there the progressive jackpot was over $2000 .The same machines also have higher betting increments of .50, $1.00 etc. for an even larger natural Royal Flush Progressive Jackpot.

There are 10 machines that are grouped together, five in a row that are back to back.

Just a hint.....when we were there we found one machine, and only one, that you needed to play only 5 credits to win the natural Royal Flush Progressive Jackpot. Here is how you find it, if it still exists - once you find the group of Video Poker machines, if you face them with your back toward the window (water) the machine will be the far left machine. When we were there the max bet allowed on this machine only went up to 5 credits and if you got a natural Royal Flush it was for the Progressive Royal Flush amount.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy your cruise.
