When we traveled to Alaska, we had cell phone coverage at no additional cost. Does this apply to Hawaii as well?

This really has nothing to do with princess cruises. It depends on your cell phone plan. You should ask your cell company.

 

However, the answer most likely yes.

AT&T has coverage on some of the islands.

Check you plan. Most include coverage in Hawaii, but you may not always have connectivity

My husbands has full coverage at no extra charge in Hawaii, mine does not. Definitely do some checking!

I have Verizon Wireless and have never had a problem there. I agree with previous poster though, check with your plan and cell phone company. They would be the one to tell you.

Sprint has full coverage anywhere in Hawaii. Our most recent trip there was in October, but Sprint has always given me full coverage in Hawaii.

Verizon works for us on every island! Never had any problem!

We have AT&T, the only problem we had was one spot on the backside of the island while doing the Road to Hana, and it was only in one spot.

Our phones worked fine everywhere else, even while in port. Not, however, at night, while at sea.

I have Verizon....no extra cost and had full service in Hawaii.

I was able to take some great photos on my cellphone and send them via text to my family.

One family member doesn't use a cellphone so I sent the photos via text to her email address....worked great and no extra charges....

Enjoy....it's one of my most favorite places...!!
