Obstructed View on Brilliance of the Seas

We just received our cabin assignation for an August 23rd sailing on Royal Caribbean's Brilliance of the Sea.

Oh yes, they upgraded us by one category. Now we have a balcony with a 50% obstructed view.

And basically, they tell us,that's the chance we take with a "guaranteed" cabin-there is nothing that can be done.

So beware when you are booking a "guaranteed" cabin. You might get a better cabin with a lousy view.

How much $$$ did you save by booking the gty?? That would go a long ways for me in making the view just fine. I love saving money.

If you really want that other balcony, its probably not too late to pay for picking your cabin.

The "obstructions" (if it's one of the last cabins aft) is the window washing ladder. It obstructs nothing. Yes, you will see it, but you'll stop noticing it after a few mins. Don't worry too much about this! We booked one of those cabins (last one available!!!) and stressed about it....for absolutely no reason! It's all good.

Hey Firefly,Well we booked late because of circumstances, and there are no other cabins with a balcony.

But you're right - no need stressing about the view when there is a whole ship to enjoy.

Thank you.

Twice Iv done OV obstructed on RCL and it just adds things to look at in the view to me.

Never bothered me. (yea i know you have a balcony, but obstructed isnt that bad).

Iv done some last minute bookings myself.
