Dharma517 Posted July 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2011 Okay..so we are going to be in Bermuda on Monday and Tuesday of next week and it does not look good. BUMMER! had planned first day for gibbs lighthouse, swizzle inn south, and church bay for beach and snorkel. Second day is an excursion catamaran beach/snorkel. If it really does rain any suggestions? We will do the swizzle of course! Thanks! We have rain poncho's ready to go and we will march on.
Host Caroline Posted July 29, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2011 Unless it's pouring if you are at Kings Wharf/Dockyard you can get between buildings there pretty easily w/out getting drenched.. between Maritime Museum, exhibits, glass blowing, bars, shopping that is good for at least part of a day.. .same thing re downtown Hamilton shop/pub area. Crystal and Fantasy Caves are underground and the train tour in St George is "covered" i.e. you would not get wet in a light rain shower but if it was blowing you would... haven't been to aquarium but imagine that some of it's inside. Often people freak and post here that rain is forecast for Bermuda. My experience on my cruises has been that a rain forecast usually means a short local shower on the island and not pouring rain all day. Different weather services are giving different forecasts. The weather forecast I use says next Monday and Tuesday will be party cloudy and sunny. When you get back please post the actual weather. I would like to know which forecast was right.
