pvoris01 Posted July 31, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2011 Going on the epic dec 10th and my friend has a cpap machine that needs distilled water, does anyone know if NCL carries this? If not will SAS transportation stop for us to get some?
garycarla Posted July 31, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2011 As a CPAP user I will tell you that distilled is preferred, suggested, reccomended, etc. But, not REQUIRED. They do not have distilled water bottles onboard, but the water onboard is very good. It is actually distilled from the sea. Actually, I have been using mostly tap water for awhile as I will not drag distilled water along with me.
SailawayKC Posted August 1, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 1, 2011 With the humidity in the Caribbean in December I just skip the water and turn the humidifier off on my CPAP. Actually my travel CPAP doesn’t have one.
Traveller20074 Posted August 1, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2011 agree with the humidity. I never use it on the cruise because of that. But........I asked NCL and they told me that it wasn't distilled, but purified which is different. It might still have minerals in it. I used bottled water once, and my humidifier chamber had white residue in it. I wouldn't chance it, but YMMV.
