Sunseeker11 Posted August 1, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2011 My DH and I have a day before our cruise in December to tour El Yunque - I have noticed that the tours offer a couple hours at Luquillo beach if you choose. Is this worth it? or should we go back to our hotel and hang out at the local beach (Conrad San Juan in Condado - won it on Priceline! - I have heard the beach isn't nice but there are nicer beaches close by) We aren't interested in renting a car, we find it less stressful to do a tour and enjoy learning from the tour guides. rasta Posted August 2, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2011 A few hours at Luquillo beach (Balenario Monseratte) would be a good idea. You can walk a ways down the beach and hit the kioskos for some authentic food.
orquidia Posted August 2, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2011 the most beautiful beaches of Puerto Rico are located outside San Juan. Luquillo is one of them.
