Rome Airport to Civitavecchia

Does anyone have a reliable taxi or van company that can pick up 3 of us from Rome and transport us to a hotel in Civitavecchia?

 

Recommendation and e-mail address would be great.

Rome in limo is the one most often quoted and recommended. The price is about 130 euros and that will be the same for almost all of them.

We used them and they were waiting for us, an english speaking driver with a very nice air conditioned car.

Rome cabs is another that gets a lot of good reviews. we have them booked

in Nov, 130 E from airport to port for two.

Is the train a good option to get to the Civitavecchia form Rome or the airport? Also are there other options from the airport to port that are less expensive than a cab or limo. Thanks

It's been talked about a lot on the forums, but train is the only other option you'll have besides cab/limo. It's much cheaper, the only issues people have mentioned thus far is having to carry your own luggage and getting from the train station to the cruise ship.

Also check with your hotel. They picked us up at the airport twice for the drive to Civitavecchia and saved us a few Euros too. Also see if they have free transfers to the pier from the hotel.

I realize that using "search" can be helpful on such a common topic - still, this thread has helpful replies. I was going to post a question about taxi/car service myself for 4 people. We need FCO to Rome hotel, to port, and from port back to FCO. Just want a great vacation experience with service, price, and reliability. So thank you to all who contributed today on this thread!! :D
