You can get insurance but it would exclude any losses from Emily.
klfrodo Posted August 2, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2011 Yes, Emily is now a "Named" storm. The storm is no longer considered an unforseen event. She is a known event. Insurance companies don't stay in business by covering an event that is approaching and is going to happen. They cover unforseen emergencies. Caveat: Sparks is correct. You can still get insurance for everything else, just can't cover any losses caused by Emily

mrlddst Posted August 2, 2011 #5 Share Posted August 2, 2011 Maybe you can call the airline and try to get on the flight the day before due to the pending weather event.
