beverland Posted August 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2011 How is the gratuity distributed to the waitstaff? I've gotten so many different answers. Some say the person that sells the package gets it and others say the individual who delivers the wine gets the gratuity. I've even been told - no one gets any. Does anyone know the real answer to this question? Thanks!
cb at sea Posted August 10, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2011 Does it really matter? You pay it...they take care of it. Technically, it should be given to those who serve you, but who knows? Their rules...not ours!
beverland Posted August 10, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted August 10, 2011 I'm hoping the person who delivers the bottle of wine gets the gratuity, but "crew" has given me very different stories. Just wondering...........
Clarea Posted August 10, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2011 I'm hoping the person who delivers the bottle of wine gets the gratuity, but "crew" has given me very different stories. Just wondering........... Gratuities are pooled and distributed among the waitstaff. We try to have some cash handy in case there is someone we want to tip directly.
