cruiseapril Posted August 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2011 Hi- Could someone explain the Early Advantage program? Thanks.
Rare LAFFNVEGAS Posted August 20, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2011 HAL claims Early Advantage is lower prices :) I tell people Early Advantage is being able to choose you own cabin where you want to be then watch the prices and if prices drop then call in to get the cruise refared ;)

Cruise Organizer Posted August 23, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 23, 2011 I checked the HAL Website for a July cruisetour. The maniner price is the same as a non maniner. There is no discount. The HAL rep confirmed this. I called HAL and was told that there are select cruises that are being discounted. I asked which ones and was told that she did not know, that each one would have to be priced out. I did not book anything
NYteacher Posted August 24, 2011 #5 Share Posted August 24, 2011 Thanks to this thread I checked and emailed the travel agent. She was able to re-book February's partial Panama Canal at a savings of over $1,100! So grateful OP and CC!
cruiseapril Posted August 24, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted August 24, 2011 Hi NY Teacher- Can you tell us more about your rebooking?
NYteacher Posted August 24, 2011 #7 Share Posted August 24, 2011 Sure, I went to the HAL site and did a "phantom booking" for the same cruise and same type of cabin. When I saw the price difference I copied it and sent the new price to the TA. She rebooked me. Very easy.
