Trying to choose-May 14 or Aug 13 Bristish Isles

As a native, the Scottish weather this year was actually much better in August than in May. May was sunny but was very cold. Generally you will find August a beter month but there are no guarantees the way weather is changing. By 13th August Scottish Schools are back.

There probably is more going on in August in the country generally than May. There are variuos festivals on throughout the country and as has been said ealier, the tatoo is on in August.

Make sure that you book that up early as it is difficult to to get ickets later.

After much deliberation, I have booked the May 14th cruise. One of the main reasons was that it was easier to book a flight with airmiles. Although I'd love to see it again, we have seen the Tattoo on a Princess cruise a few years back, 2007, .Thanks for everyone's input... pj
