Barcelona churches

Hopefully someone can help me with this,we are departing Sept.25 on the Magic.Arriving at airport early morning.Carnival transfer to the port.Is there a Catholic church within walking distance of the port to try and make Sunday Mass or just to visit if Mass is unavailable.Thanks To All

Walking distance from the port? Not sure... but I hope you don't pass up the opportunity to see the Sagrada Familia.

I do not think either the Cathedral or Sagrada Familia would be within walking distance, but the cost of a taxi or using public transportation would be reasonable. I am a heathen Protestant, but I found both of these churches worthy of a visit.

Sagrada Familia definitely not, but if you got a shuttle out of the port area and walked up La Rambla, you could get to the cathedral. We stayed in a hotel (Colon) right across from it. But, I think there are probably churches closer. EM

Santa Maria del Mar Church(the cathedral by the sea) is close to the port area.
