PATRIOTSRULE Posted August 23, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2011 Can you bring towels from the ship with you to excursions or is it best to bring your own towels from home. I really don't want to bring my own beach towels on the cruise but will if I have to.
joepeka Posted August 23, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2011 The in-room towels that your steward will provide (the large, blue ones) are for use at the pool and you can take them off the ship. Just be sure you don't lose them or you will be charged for replacement.
DH30 Posted August 23, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2011 Yes, you can take the blue towels. If you do not bring them back they will charge you $22 each. I took the blue towels off for both of our excursions.

FlaGrl4Evr Posted August 23, 2011 #6 Share Posted August 23, 2011 We brought our own towels with us for our snorkeling excursion. They were just some thinner-worn regular bath towels not beach towels. We just wanted them to serve the purpose. We desired something that would fold up small and fit in the backpack that we used for our excursion. The blue beach towels that Carnival provides are very nice and fluffy and are hard to fold and fit in a carry off back when going to port, especially if you may need two or more towels. Another thing is that those blue towels all look the same so someone on the boat or beach may mistake it for thiers and then you could be out $22. At the end of the cruise, you can easily just toss the towels or use them to wrap around some souvenir items. :)
kazbar Posted August 23, 2011 #7 Share Posted August 23, 2011 A sarong takes up a lot less room than a towel and is fine for sitting on or using to dry yourself off. They dry really quickly too
ChefSusan Posted August 23, 2011 #8 Share Posted August 23, 2011 You can either take the large blue "Carnival" towels that are sitting on your cabin's couch (spare chair, etc), or you can take two bath towels from the bathroom with you. If the bath towels are swiped you are not charged for them, whereas if you lose one of the blue towels you are SOL...
