Catholic Mass on the NA

Anyone know if there is catholic mass on board the NA? If so, is it daily? Thanks

Yes, daily - all HAL ships - unless the priest misses the sailing! ;)

Never had a HAL cruise without a priest. Have heard of travel glitches and last minute health issues causing him to not get there

At Sea the Mass is usually at 8:00AM and in Port it is at 5:00 PM. When the Nieuw

Amsterdam is "stateside" she docks on Sunday and the Mass is at 5:00PM. The Mass on Saturday is at 5:00 PM so that the disembarking passengers get to Mass before they leave so that one doing the Anticipated Mass does not have to worry about missing Mass on Sunday.

We have been priviliged to be able to have daily Mass celebrated aboard every HAL cruise which we have taken. BTW...you could also avail yourself of the opportunity to attend Mass at some of the ports along the way...an interesting way to absorb some of the local culture and way of life. Peter

Exactly. We have gone to mass in several Cathedrals around the world. Notre Dame in Paris, Sorrento, Auckland, Passau, Florence Duomo, etc. Great opportunities as you say to explore local culture and traditions.

I did the Eastern Caribbean on the N.A. last February and I just loved every minute of the cruise. She is a great ship.
