How much cash did you spend before you hit 1500 points in casino?

Hello, I have heard that if you hit 1500 points in the casino, you get free drinks the rest of the cruise with the drinks on us deal. How much cash did you actually dish out before you hit the 1500? I have heard of people hiting it the first night on penny slots but just wondered how much you have actually put into machine. If we have to spend $1500 to get 1500 points, its not really a deal to us because we won't drink $1500 in drinks. Thanks for your help!

It takes a lot more than losing $1500 to get to 1500 points. Last time on board I was down about $200 and had 25 points.

The points you are earning are not exactly dollar for dollar. It's a combination of the money you put in the machine and how many credits you are earning.

I usually take around $75 to $100 per day to lose and I'm usually at 1500 points by the 2nd or 3rd day. It's not uncommon for me to end up with 4000+ points by the end of a 7 day cruise.

Don't matter what you lose, it matters what you end up playing. Sometimes you can pick up 500 to 1000 pt for $50 if when you win you play it back in. Done it many times on penny and nickle machines, just have to hit the bonus plays. Sometimes it works sometimes not so much. Just have to be at the lucky machine at the right time.

OP: As others have explained, I think you are assuming that you would put $1,500 in and never win anything. On the contrary, you might only spend a little of your own money, but if you are putting the money you win back into the machines, the points add up without you digging deeper into your own pocket. :)

There were four of them located at the corners of Victory's casino. ;)

We're on Glory come October, and she'd better have them on board

or my wife is gonna be pixxed!

I didn't read thru this entire thread so maybe somebody else answered but it's $2.50 wagered for each point. Not how much won or lost.

Can you earn points at table games? If so how does it work?

Stu, I think the "Drinks On Us" program is only good at the slot machines... but then again I could be wrong!

You can get it at the table games if you are rated properly.

On our last 7 day cruise my DW got the 1500 points playing the slots. I played the table games all week and I was never told id I reached the mark. I guess I should have asked.

The funny thing is when we contacted the Ocean Player Club about our perks for the next cruise they will give me a premium Bon Voyage package and my wife will get a Deluxe Bon Voyage Package.

I only earned 947 points last week. I kept winning on a penny machine and only spent about $80. Had it been a 7 day cruise I would have made the 1500 points, by the last day. I was actually surprised I earned as many points as I did.

I'd say that took a pretty lucky streak. I just got back from a 5 day cruise and figure between the wife and I, we lost about $1300 in the slots and left with a combined 2300 points or so...

You have to be betting $25 per hand and play at least 2 hours a day. You'd just give the pit boss your card when you sit down at a table. My DH plays hours of BJ every night and I don't believe he ever got points added for his $6 a hand play at the table.
