a question for 138east/anyone familiar with Boston

It is probably a bit early to ask this but I do like to obsess/worry about everything related to an upcoming cruise.

We are very happy to be able to drive to Boston from Ottawa, Ontario for our July,2012 VOV cruise. No flights, no baggage restrictions - wonderful.

However, we now have a new problem - where to park our car for more than 5 weeks??

We plan to stay 2 nights in Boston pre-cruise but hope to drive home the day we disembark.

I have searched for hotels with long term parking without much luck and I'm starting to accept the fact that the $16/day  at the cruise terminal is going to be our best option.

Any other suggestions, please?

Renting would be a good option. One way rentals between Canada and the US might be expensive, but I would definitely shop that first to see if the $90-100/week the long term lots charge makes sense. There are a couple options with coupons on this site... http://www.longtermparking.com/mass.htm

Another option might be to look at renting in the US, and just parking your car at a long term lot in a smaller city. For example, if you plan to come down I-87 from Montreal, you can park at Plattsburgh airport for $3/day, and rent a car from there. If you go down I-89 past Burlington Vermont, you can park at Thifty with a coupon from http://www.longtermparking.com/ and rent from them as well.

Hi,

The Four Points Sheraton in Revere, MA offers parking http://deals.fourpoints.com/Four-Points-Logan-Airport-Boston-Hotel-1141/so.htm?IM=PP_LHN_SOP_US_4P_1141&iATANumber. I live in Revere and it's a nice hotel, previously a HoJo's but updated.

We hadn't considered renting a car but we'll look into that possibility. Great idea.

We'll also check the best parking link.

Thank you all very much.
