Currency for tipping on Med cruise?

I know this must have been addressed before, but guess I'm just not putting the right words in the search box.

Is it okay to tip in USD onboard (for the "extras", we have already prepaid gratuities)? I am wondering if the staff has easy access to convert currencies.

What have others done?

All currencys on board are in US$, so tipping in $ will be fine

We did US dollars as well - we did our own gratuities -all in dollars:)

Is it ok to tip in Euro's or do the staff prefer Dollar's?

Used rupees once, took just under 5 million to equal 1.85 in greenbacks. Sticking to US dollars now.
