Flying into FLL in February but sailing out of Miami. Planning on spending night in or near FLL and using SAS for transport to POM in the morning. Need a clean room (cheap) that has shuttle from airport and maybe hot breakfast. Any thoughts?

Your dates are over President's Week so unfortunately, nothing is going to be cheap. I would concentrate on something by the FLL airport.

You should be able to get what you want for around $129. Anything less and I'd be very leary of the hotel.

Also try the Sleep Inn & Suites Dania. We were supposed to sail the Freedom around Thanksgiving and I did a ton of research on FLL hotels. This one came up the best for our budget and it's location. The hotel has some great reviews, is on the newer side, has a free airport shuttle and breakfast. There is a shuttle to Port Everglades but for port of Miami you could just call SAS. One other thing that was a positive, is the hotel is next to a Walgreens and across the street from a Publix Grocery and has a few restaurants withing walking distance. This is an important facotr when flying in and not having a car. Another option would be to stay here and take the hotel shutle back to FtLL airport and pick up the Cruise Ship Shuttle to the port of Miami.

Here is a link to the hotel if you want to check rates.

Have a great time.
