hlb76 Posted September 15, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2011 There I got your attention! We sail in 31 days and I still have not ordered my bottles from BV. Just wondering is there a cut off on when I can order pre-cruise? If it gets to late I can still order from Room service for the same price right?
BeccaBecca1713 Posted September 15, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2011 I believe the cut-off is 7 days prior to sailing. On another thread, someone stated you can order from Room Service at the same price as BV.
Alliezona09 Posted September 15, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2011 Cut off varies depending on the person you talk to I think~ I've heard 2 days before and I've heard about the person calling BV while standing onboard the ship and it arrived later that evening~ so you've got time! And supposedly you can order from room service or you might have to go down to Guest Services and order from them~same price though~
elcuchio24 Posted September 15, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 15, 2011 They say a week before sail, but we ordered 4 days before sail a couple years ago and it wasn't an issue. You can get the same prices though Rooms Service BUT, in the past at least, we were charge the normal 15% grat on the price of the bottle doing it this way. Not really that big of a deal, but an extra 5 or 6 bucks per bottle.
crusinpsychRN Posted September 15, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 15, 2011 On another thread, someone stated you can order from Room Service at the same price as BV. On some ships, not all.
B and C Blake Posted September 15, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 15, 2011 On some ships, not all. Yes this offered on all ships. You do NOT order from room service though. You have to place the order through guest service desk. The problem with room service is that the order takers are not all aware of the BV ordering on some ships and the pax will be told NO. Just go to guest services and order a set-up aka BV bottle of liquor. Same prices as BV.

They didn't say anything about it being too late. I think many have stated a week before, but others have said 3-4 days and they've been ok- as was my case also. Winterstale Posted September 15, 2011 #10 Share Posted September 15, 2011 And I have just spent the last 15 minutes trying to find the list of booze available and for whatever reason, I can't find it on the BV link on carnival's website -- I see the Wine Cellar, but no spirits. I know they're there somewhere......

PurpleDog Posted September 15, 2011 #13 Share Posted September 15, 2011 Appleton VX rum is $40.00 for a liter. They also have other [barcardi, Cruzan, Captain Morgan] rums at varying prices. There's nothing like a Coke and Appleton with crushed ice. Mmmm baby. :)

tandemcruzr Posted September 15, 2011 #15 Share Posted September 15, 2011 You do NOT order from room service though. Legend this past January, called Guest Services and they told me to call Room Service. Did and my bottle was delivered promptly. I don't remember if the gratuity was included or not -- I don't think it was, just the $40 for the Absolut.
