KaaaaaBoom Posted March 30, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2005 Hi, Has anyone ever stayed at the "Extended Stay Suites" and if so, how was it? Coming into Florida later in the day prior to the cruise and did not want to spend moe than $100 for a room for less than 24 hours. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. JNLROSE Posted March 30, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 30, 2005 You might give Priceline a try, we have always gotten GREAT rates for some wonderful hotels right on the beach & near the port. Definitely under $100.
Rare geoherb Posted March 30, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 30, 2005 Go to Bidding for Travel if you need help bidding through Priceline. You'll probably want to bid on a 3* hotel in the downtown zone. We've also stayed at a couple of 3* hotels in the airport zone when we haven't been able to get a bid accepted in the downtown zone and our flights did not arrive until late afternoon or early evening. Most of the time, people are reporting getting good deals through Priceline for Fort Lauderdale hotels. The only time we couldn't get anything was for New Year's weekend after our last cruise. awatt Posted April 1, 2005 #5 Share Posted April 1, 2005 Stayed ay the Sheraton, near the airport, in Februaury. It was fine for a precruise night, especially if you're getting in relatively late. Free shuttle from airport. Hotel and rooms were clean and pleasant enough. Kids enjoyed the pool. Took a cab to tthe pier the next day, about 10 minutes. Got it through priceline, with help from biddingfortravel, for $49.
