I was also on this cruise and I have all the dailies from this trip that I can post tomorrow in PDF format for anyone interested. I also grabbed some of the other propaganda that was in in our room throughout the week.

Sounds like the 3rd arrival of the Socialist/Communist Purge...

What kind of "propaganda"? sales and stuff?

I would love to see the dailies as well. We leave Sunday!

I have a question--If I want to sign up for a few of the Specialty Restaurants--is there a place to go to do them all at once or do I have to call each place? We have a couple of friends with us and I would like to make the reservations for us all. Any help?

Thanks.

I think there was a table in the port terminal and there also is a desk in the Atrium(deck 7 mid) where you can sign up. From what I saw the restaurants where pretty open except for the Teppanyaki which showed as being pretty full. I only ate at the mexican place which was good, the lobster tacos were excellent.

Hey Don, I'm headed to Bermuda on the Gem Oct 23rd. I'm interested in a day pass to a resort.. what did your pass include? I'm looking for one with all inclusive food/alcohol and if course access to their pool and beach. I can't seem to find this option is Bwemuda. I just got back from Turks and Caicos and Club Med and the Ocean Club both had this option. Please let me know if there are any resorts offering this. Thanks!

Je2ter,

Just as I described in a previous post, Coral Reef Hotel's day pass provides lunch and a glass of wine, towel, use of the pool, beach with lounge and umbrella for $49/person.

There are lounge chairs around the pool area as well.

According to our taxi driver, he was surprised that Coral Reef had a day pass and wrote down all the information (he said, he never heard of any hotel having day passes in Bermuda!).

The beach and water were terrific (right next to Elbow Beach!)

Have a great cruise!

Don

I used David (the Concierge) for three of my reservations and booked La Cucina in the Atrium (deck 7 by the reception desk). The Garden Cafe also taskes reservations.

David was really great and I believe he can get almost anytime you need if booked in advance with him. The first day, I booked three days in a row with him and even changed one of the reservations from early to late. He is the best!!!

BTW, La Cucina, IMO is the best specialty restaurant for the money ($10/person)!!

Great food, great service.....actually our favorite of the specialty restaurants. We almost ate there a 3rd time, but opted to be with our friends we met on the CC Roll Call on the last night of the cruise.

Coco Reef offers a day pass for $49 per person. It is right next to the Elbow Beach Hotel.

It includes the use of their pool and beach (with lounges and umbrellas)

-one towel per person

-lunch that includes an entree and either a soup or salad or dessert and a glass of wine.

Other drinks are extra.

Take a taxi, since the hotel is far away from the bus stop.

The taxi from the dockyards where our ship was parked, cost us $40 each way including the tip. We shared the taxi with others in our group.

Check out their website at www.cocoreefbermuda.com

Don

Thanks Don! I am printing it out as an option. :D

Can you tell me if they had any specials for the spa, at the cruise terminal. Last year

we got a great package for going in and using the spa pool etc for $129.

The spa had a weekly pass for the thermal spa for $119. They had a table set up in the terminal.

Can you tell me what the comedian was like?

Was the first night show worth going to????

The comedian was Richie Minervini who I thought was good and I also enjoyed the first night show. I am not sure if he was staying on after this cruise.

Brenda Kaye the hypnotist who was on board was also good. After this cruise she was heading for home for a week, but then she is back to the Gem, but I don't remember how long she said it was for.(darn margarita happy hour)

I enjoyed the Comedian's first night show over this second show later in the week. But both were very funny. We did see the hypnotist Brenda Kaye too, and she takes a while to get going and doesn't make a great connection with the crowd at first, but it pays off about 1/2 way through the show once she has her volunteers under trance.
