Taxi fare in Papeete airport to pier

Can someone help me out with the approximate cost of taxi for 2 in US dollars from the airport in Papeete to the cruise ship pier? The price my TA is quoting for transfers through the cruise line seems extremely high, would like to compare! Appreciate the help!

Last December on the Royal Princess, we used Greg's cab and it was 2500cfp plus 100cfp per piece of luggage. We left just before all the buses and were about 15th in line at the airport for checkin.

I would take a taxi instead of the transfers - the airport is very close to the cruise port but taxi fares are high - it would be about 2500 XPF - but you would beat the crowds for the embarkation check in
