Quiet place to read a book?

Just off the Valor and was thinking about this. Where indoors on the ship can you read a book in quiet? Everywhere I went seemed to have piped in music of some sort.

I understand there may be people talking/walking through, but other than my cabin, I found no place to read without music in the background.

(I didn't check the library as it is not open all the time and as I understand will be turned into a wine bar under funship 2.0.)

On Spirit class ships, there is an area on Deck 3 forward (both port and starboard) that is pretty quiet and relaxing. On Miracle, it's called Gatsby's Garden, on Legend, it's called Enchanted Forest. Probably as quiet as it's going to get.

I recall this area on the Pride on my first cruise in 2002. I am looking forward to this area on the Miracle.

The Valor is a Conquest class ship. Probably the quietest place other than the Library is the Betsy Ross card room just off the Lobby to the right as you are walking into the forward dining room.

I usually sit along the Promenade though pretty far back if you don't want to be bothered by the crowds around the cafe or the casino.

The exterior deck 3 is also virtually abandon and has nice lounge chairs if you want to be outside.

Or there are the secret decks on 6 and 7 all the way forward and there is a bench there but it's in full sun and can be real windy.

This is a wonderful place to sit and read. We rarely ever saw anyone else use it on the Miracle.
