Yo Eleven Posted October 8, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2011 I tried to use the search feature to find an answer to my question. I got leads but not a direct answer. We are booked in a suite and see there is priority check in for gold seapass holders. Well we don't have our card now and you don't get it until you check in. So how do we do the priority thing? Do we just show up at the port and look for a sign that is posted. "Priority Check In" or something like that? We are sailing out of Port Canaveral on the Monarch. I wanted to know where we go. Thanks.

sharonlacey Posted October 8, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 8, 2011 You can ask where the CL is once on the ship. They have drinks from 5 till 8pm (I think) coffee all the time. Light snacks from 5-8 and contin. breakfast in the morning. We love CL before dinner nice to meet people in a smaller setting.
IBookHePays Posted October 8, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 8, 2011 CL = the Concierge Lounge :)
The Big Booper Posted October 8, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 8, 2011 The Concierge Lounge (CL) is for Suite guests and high level RC cruisers (Pinnacle and Diamond Plus in the loyalty program). Free booze from 5-8:30 PM each night in a private lounge along with free snacks. The Concierge also provides services such as reservations, etc. First time you go, ask them what they can get for you. NanciRDH Posted October 8, 2011 #8 Share Posted October 8, 2011 Monarch doesn't have a CL. It's been a while, but I think they have something set up in the Viking Crown with reduced price drinks and maybe free beer and wine, during a set cocktail hour time in the evening, usually 5:30 to 8ish. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, I might be remembering Diamond events, but I'm pretty sure there is no CL.

stephanie1 Posted October 9, 2011 #10 Share Posted October 9, 2011 We were in a Owners Suite last November so I can tell you exaactly what happens. I am also Diamond. First, like everyone else, you have to get through the main security area where you show your passport and signed seapass form. Once you are allowed through you will get into the line according to your status. You are looking for Priority Check-In line. It feels so good to have that status at the time. Go to that line and check in as usual with credit card being used etc. Usually goes pretty fast and they then issue you your Seapass card. Then proceed to Priority waiting area if the ship has not started embarkation yet. The Concierge (if there is 1) will always leave messages for your cabin on your phone so you know what all the perks are that day. The Concierge Lounge is nice (on the Liberty) but get there early between 5-6 - that is when we went. The bar staff is very attentive and you get first shot at the hour'douveres. cruisegirl1 Posted October 9, 2011 #11 Share Posted October 9, 2011 Yes you will get priority check in. The Monarch does NOT have a concierge lounge, Sorry! Members of Diamond and above Crown and Anchor status have an event each night where they can get complimentary wine , champagne and soda and reduced prices for any other drinks. I am not sure if suite guests are included in this nightly event . On recent cruises, there has been a noon time cocktail party on Coco Cay for (full) suite passengers Enjoy
