cruzinchar Posted April 2, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2005 We're booked on the Grand Princess for Sept. 11th and Rhodes is one of the stops. We thought we wanted to take the tour to the Lindos Acropolis, but see that the archaelogical sites at the acropolis are closed on Mondays (of course, we will be there on a Monday!). The tour is offered anyway.....can't decide what effect that will have? Would it still be worth going to the Acropolis, even if we can't enter the archaelogical sites? What does this all mean......don't want to pay for a tour that is supposed to talke us to someplace that we can't get into!
juliejoe Posted April 2, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2005 We're wondering the same ..... Here is a link that explains what the archaeological sites of Lindos includes. Looks like we could still go into the Acropolis. http://www.culture.gr/2/21/211/21122a/e211va08.html Julie
cruzinchar Posted April 2, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted April 2, 2005 Hi Julie, Yep, I looked at that website (you sent that to me before in that wonderful set of notes). It was after reading all of that, that made me think that it would still be worthwhile, even if we can't get into the archaelogical sites........I'm assuming that Princess wouldn't be offering the excursion for that day if it was a bust...... Would love to hear from someone who has been there! Charlene
